Applications of recycled plastics in blow film

This is the manufacturing process that uses the highest amount of recycled plastics compared to other production methods. For example, handle bags and “glossary” bags are products formed by the extrusion blown film process, which consumes large amounts of HDPE, LDPE, and LLDPE. Plastic products formed by this method have the shape of cylindrical plastic films, which must then undergo cutting/sealing processes to become bags before being used to package products for distribution.

Commonly used plastic pellets:

• High density polyethylene (HDPE)

• Low density polyethylene (LDPE)

• Or a blend with Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)
